Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the CAP program in outpatient dialysis settings. You will perform assessments, plan and coordinate care, and collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and patient care techs to ensure safe hemodialysis delivery.

You will participate in quality improvement, education, and CAP progression while following policy, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs under supervision and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or RN team.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and updates the care plan.
• Educates patients and families on learning needs and therapy.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents outcomes.
• Assists with emergency response measures and staff training.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing and documentation.
• Updates nursing assessments and care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Discusses transplant options and treatment modality choices.
• Completes CAP requirements to advance.
