Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed physical therapist to plan and administer treatment plans to alleviate pain, restore function, and promote overall health in an outpatient orthopedic setting. You will serve as a clinical resource for staff and students and collaborate with the medical team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, a valid PT license, and BLS within 30 days. Prior outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) certification as required by state licensing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safe patient transfers and proper body mechanics.
• Designs and adjusts plans of care with goals, outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings and determines PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations and screens patients to determine therapy needs.
• Monitors care delivered by staff and provides feedback.
• Communicates with the medical team and documents per standards.
• Performs reporting, participates in meetings, and may serve as a clinical instructor.
