Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient care in Montour Falls, NY. You will provide skilled PTA services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and help implement individualized treatment plans to meet each patient’s goals and functional needs.

Required include an Associate’s degree, NY PTA license or eligibility, CPR certification, and yearly HealthStream trainings. Outpatient experience is preferred; new graduates may be considered.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in PTA program completed at an accredited institution.
• Current New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must complete yearly safety in-services and HealthStream courses.
• Prior outpatient or clinical experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait training, balance activities, and activities of daily living.
• Assist patients with safe use of assistive devices (crutches, walkers, canes, orthotics).
• Apply physical therapy modalities as directed (hot/cold packs, ultrasound, electrical stimulation).
• Perform therapy activities and manual techniques under supervision.
• Monitor and document patient responses and reportProgress to supervising PT.
• Communicate patient progress and modify treatment plan as needed.
• Participate in discharge planning and reinforce home exercise programs.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, mobility, and home program.
