Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient care in Montour Falls, NY.

The role requires collaboration with a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans and guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and daily living activities. Qualified candidates will hold an Associate's degree, NYS PTA license or eligibility, CPR certification, and be prepared for yearly safety training.

Qualifications

• Must complete an accredited PTA program resulting in an Associate's degree.
• Current New York State PTA license or eligibility.
• CPR certification required.
• Yearly safety in-services and HealthStream training required.
• Outpatient or clinical experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PT treatment under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to meet patient goals.
• Instruct and assist patients with therapeutic exercises and gait training.
• Support using assistive devices safely (crutches, walkers, canes, orthotics).
• Deliver modalities such as hot/cold packs, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
• Document patient responses and progress in the EMR.
• Communicate progress and modify plans with the supervising PT.
• Support discharge planning and home exercise program education.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, mobility.
• Ensure compliance with NYS requirements and facility policies.
