Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient services in Montour Falls, NY. The role involves delivering skilled PT treatment under supervision, assisting with plans, and guiding patients through exercises and mobility activities.

Location is onsite with day/evening shifts; local travel may be required. Requires NY PTA license eligibility, associate degree, CPR, and safety trainings. Outpatient experience is preferred; new grads considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled physical therapy treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assists with implementing individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Instructs and assists patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and activities of daily living.
• Assists patients with safe use of devices such as crutches, walkers, canes, and orthotics.
• Performs therapeutic modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist (e.g., heat/cold packs, ultrasound, electrical stimulation).
• Contributes to discharge planning and reinforces home exercise programs.
• Monitors patient responses and reports changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Communicates progress and helps adjust treatment programs as needed.
• Documents care and charges in the electronic medical record.
• Maintains compliance with New York State requirements and facility policies.
