Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide skilled outpatient care under the supervision of a licensed PT at our Montour Falls, NY site. The role involves implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through exercises, and assisting with modalities and discharge planning.

Onsite position with days/evenings and occasional weekends. Requires NY PTA license or eligibility, associate degree, CPR certification, and annual safety trainings.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Licensure: NYS PTA license or eligibility.
• Certification: CPR certification current.
• Training: Annual safety in-services and HealthStream courses.
• Experience: Prior outpatient/clinical experience preferred; new grads considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled PT treatment under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Assists with implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Instructs patients on therapeutic exercises and gait/balance training.
• Assists with device use and safe mobility activities.
• Performs modalities as directed and documents patient responses.
• Maintains records in the EMR and communicates progress to PT.
• Participates in discharge planning and home exercise instructions.
