Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide outpatient services in Montour Falls, NY. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and guide patients through exercises, gait and balance activities, and daily living tasks.

The ideal candidate has an accredited PTA program completion with an Associate's degree, NYS PTA license or eligibility, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Accredited PTA program resulting in an Associate's degree.
• Licensure: Current New York State PTA license or eligibility.
• Certification: Current CPR Certification.
• Training: Yearly mandatory safety in-services and HealthStream courses.
• Experience: Outpatient/clinical experience preferred; new graduates may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, balance, and ADLs.
• Assist with use of assistive devices and orthotics.
• Apply modalities as directed (hot/cold packs, ultrasound, electrical stimulation).
• Document patient responses and progress.
• Communicate progress and modify treatment as needed.
• Support discharge planning and home exercise programs.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safety.
• Document care and charges in the EMR.
• Maintain compliance with NYS requirements and facility policies.
