Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient services in Montour Falls, NY. You will deliver skilled PT care under the supervision of a licensed PT and help implement individualized treatment plans.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree, NY PTA license, and CPR certification, with outpatient experience preferred. Onsite shifts run 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, with occasional weekends and local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current New York State PTA license or eligibility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Complete yearly safety in-services and HealthStream e-Learning courses.
• Outpatient experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PT treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, balance, and daily activities.
• Assist patients with assistive devices (crutches, walkers, canes, orthotics).
• Apply modalities such as hot/cold packs, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as directed.
• Perform therapeutic activities within PTA scope under supervision.
• Monitor and document patient responses and report progress to the PT.
• Communicate with the PT to modify treatment as needed.
• Participate in discharge planning and reinforce home exercise programs.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home program.
• Document care and charges in EMR; ensure compliance with NYS requirements.
• Maintain safety and professional standards.
