Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Pharmacy Technician will support daily operations, assist pharmacists, and help establish workflows and patient care experiences for a growing program.

You will work with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and support patients throughout the process in a retail-like, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification/license for the state.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes for pharmacy practice, including controlled substances.
• Lapse or failure to meet requirements may result in disciplinary action, up to termination.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform necessary calculations.
• Conduct accuracy checks and secure controlled substance inventories as required.
• Maintain medication supplies and support 340B/Charging management duties.
• Communicate with caregivers, participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
