Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy. We seek an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to build workflows, support daily operations, and deliver patient-centered care from day one.

You will work with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and support patients through the dispensing process in a busy retail-like setting.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy and drug distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required by policy.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing and conducts basic compounding per site protocols.
• Verifies controlled substance inventories and maintains security and cost effectiveness.
• Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities and patient safety concerns.
