Job summary

Intermountain Health is expanding an outpatient pharmacy program at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and guide patients through daily workflows.

You will help establish workflows, contribute to patient care experiences, and work closely with pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe, efficient dispensing in a retail-like setting within a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy and drug distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting clinical and patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing, perform calculations, and assist in compounding as required.
• Under supervision, ensure tasks are verified by the pharmacist and maintain accuracy checks.
• Maintain medication supplies and inventory, including controlled substances and 340B/charging management.
• Communicate with caregivers about responsibilities and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
