Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. The Pharmacy Technician will help establish workflows, support daily operations, and ensure safe, efficient dispensing in a retail-style environment with direct patient interaction.

You will collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and support patients throughout their care journey as we build a growing program.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Use pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations.
• Obtain supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist for tasks.
• Maintain medication supplies and manage controlled substance inventories.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
