Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to join the team at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

You will help establish workflows and patient care experiences for a growing outpatient program, working closely with pharmacists and other technicians. The role supports daily operations, prepares prescriptions, coordinates medication access, and assists patients from start to finish.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
• Failure to meet requirements may result in disciplinary action, up to termination.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform calculations as needed.
• Assist with supervision checks and ensure pharmacist verification for tasks.
• Maintain medication supplies and monitor controlled substances per policy.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
