Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Pharmacy Technician will help establish workflows, coordinate medication access, and support patients throughout the dispensing process.

You will work with pharmacists and other technicians in a retail-like setting with a stronger focus on patient care, safety, and cost-effective pharmaceutical services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active pharmacy technician certification or license for the state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders and perform calculations; assist in compounding as allowed.
• Ensure supervision/verification by pharmacist and proper task escalation.
• Fill and monitor medication supplies, including controlled substances.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
