Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. We are seeking an outpatient pharmacy technician to help establish workflows and patient care experiences.

The technician will support daily operations, collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians, and assist with prescription preparation, medication access, and patient support, in a retail-like yet patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing and compounds medications per policy.
• Ensures supervision checks and verifies tasks with pharmacists.
• Maintains medication supplies and manages controlled substances inventories as required.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in safety initiatives.
