Job summary

The Program or Department Coordinator I supports Ambulatory Operations at Fred Hutch's South Lake Union outpatient clinics by serving as the department's primary point of contact and providing both administrative and strategic support toward achieving the program's goals.

This full-time, hourly role is located at our South Lake Union Campus and involves staffing, billing, reporting, event coordination and cross‑department liaison duties, with opportunities to supervise staff and contribute to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to take initiative and use sound judgment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement and adjust staffing schedules.
• Manage billing paperwork.
• Generate reports.
• May supervise staff.
• Create correspondence, documents and presentations.
• Provide coverage for team members as appropriate.
• Identify and resolve operational problems.
• Plan and oversee community outreach and events.
• May propose/participate/advise in the development of the program/units strategic plan.
• Liaise with department and other departments; triage requests.
• Review timesheets and approve time as needed.
