Job summary

The OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST at HonorHealth is responsible for the evaluation, administration, and oversight of evidence-based occupational therapy services for individuals with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations. They collaborate with patients and families to plan care aimed at restoring function and improving daily living skills, following physician guidelines, and departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
• Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university approved by the AOTA, prior to starting employment Preferred
• Current license as Occupational Therapist in good standing AZ (Arizona) prior to starting employment Required
• BLS certification required
• Six months to one year of network float experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Implements evaluation and treatment plans with evidence-based occupational therapy techniques.
• Maintains accurate and current documentation in patient records; participates in billing procedures.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to discuss patient status and discharge plans; communicates with caregivers and family.
• Provides supervision to therapists assistants and support staff; mentors and supports department staff.
• Participates in departmental meetings, rounds, and quality/process improvement initiatives.
