Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Alabama seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 3 role within the Clinical Advancement Program. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for an assigned group, coordinating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.

This regional float position covers Northern Alabama, requires 5 years nephrology nursing experience, and includes leadership and teaching duties within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of nephrology nursing experience.
• 3 months of chronic/acute hemodialysis RN experience preferred.
• Current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for assigned group.
• Coordinate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.
• Provide education to patient and family on treatment and options.
• Lead or participate in quality improvement activities as directed.
• Assist with directing daily safe and effective hemodialysis delivery.
