Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Alabama seeks an Experienced Dialysis Per Diem RN for the Outpatient CAP, an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program. The RN will participate in assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group and collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

The role emphasizes education, safe delivery of hemodialysis, medication administration, emergency response and ongoing quality improvement within a health care

Qualifications

• RN with nursing degree and active license; entry to CAP program.
• Dialysis knowledge or exposure preferred for CAP track.
• Ability to collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and techs to deliver care.

Responsibilities

• Provide dialysis care under supervision of Nurse Leader and Clinical Educator.
• Document patient data and adjust care plan as needed.
• Educate patient and family on treatments and options.
• Administer medications per protocol and monitor effectiveness.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in team training.
