Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the Northern Alabama region seeks a Regional Float RN CAP 3, responsible for coordinating clinically competent care and leading patient care teams in hemodialysis facilities. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care, with education roles for patients and staff.

The role integrates with the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, requiring collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs and technicians, while advancing through the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Nephrology Nursing as an RN.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Must meet CPR BLS certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and document in medical records.
• Adjust treatment plans as indicated and communicate with supervisor or physician as needed.
• Educate patients and families on learning needs and treatment options.
• Provide safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy and lead or participate in quality improvement projects.
