Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 role within the Clinical Advancement Program. The RN will provide and coordinate care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, assess needs, plan interventions, and participate in teaching and quality improvement as part of the health care team.

The position involves direct patient care, potential delegation to staff, and collaboration with physicians and the Interdisciplinary Team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
• Assesses and documents patient data during hemodialysis and updates the plan of care with Interdisciplinary Team.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms; documents justification and effectiveness.
