Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Milwaukee is seeking an entry-level RN for the Outpatient CAP 1 program to provide and coordinate nephrology care during dialysis shifts. This role involves assessment, planning, intervention, education, and collaboration with the care team; it includes heavy lifting and patient mobility as part of routine dialysis care.

The CAP path offers progression toward expert nephrology nursing through on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Document patient data and adjust treatment plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families about care and treatment options.
• Deliver safe hemodialysis therapy and monitor for adverse events.
• Administer medications per protocol and respond to emergencies.
