Job summary

East Wareham Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare, seeks a Substance Use Counselor to support individuals recovering from opioid use disorder. The role includes individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and coordination of aftercare within an outpatient MAT setting.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree or relevant credentials (CAC/CAS/CADC/CADC, LICSW/LCSW, LMHC/LMFT) and experience in behavioral health, MAT, CBT, and MI.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, or related health services field or equivalent credentials.
• Bachelor’s Degree holders may apply if they commit to obtaining required credentials within 60 days of hire.
• Licensure/credential options include CAC, CAS, CADC, CRC, LADC I/II, LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality counseling in individual and group settings.
• Develop and document patient treatment plans and progress.
• Coordinate aftercare planning and referrals as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery goals.
