Yarmouth Comprehensive Treatment Center in Massachusetts is hiring a Full-time Substance Use Counselor for its Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program. The role focuses on high-quality individual and group counseling, assessment, and care coordination for patients with opioid use disorder.

The position requires a Master’s degree or approved credentials in psychology or related fields, with MAT familiarity and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or related field is required.
• Master’s level licensure or credentials preferred; listed credentials acceptable.
• Bachelor’s degree candidates may apply if pursuing required credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure documentation of patient care, treatment and incidents is timely and clear.
• Prepare individualized treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Assess needs and referrals to other programs; arrange aftercare as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and case management as required.
• Coordinate with referral sources to assist patients.
