Salem Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to support patients recovering from opioid use disorder through compassionate, evidence-based counseling.

The role involves conducting individual and group sessions, developing treatment plans, documenting care, and coordinating referrals while adhering to regulatory standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Competenze

• HS graduate or equivalent required.
• Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions.

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents is timely and clear.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Perform initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and refer to other programs as needed.
• Coordinate aftercare planning for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Perform case management to ensure individual quality care.
• Liaise between referral sources and patients.
