Fitchburg CTC, part of Acadia Healthcare, seeks a Substance Use Counselor to deliver high-quality counseling for opioid use disorder patients in a MAT-focused outpatient program. The role emphasizes individual and group sessions, crisis intervention, and coordinated care within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a Master’s degree in psychology or social work or equivalent credentials, with eligibility for certification or licensure.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree holders may apply if willing to obtain credentials within 60 days.
• License/credential reimbursement supports attainment for bachelor-level candidates.
• Degree must be in psychology, social work, or related health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely and clear documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
• Prepare individualized treatment plans for assigned patients.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Assist with aftercare planning for assigned patients.
