Job summary

Gifford Street Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in New Bedford, MA, is hiring a Substance Use Counselor to support patients through individual and group counseling sessions within a MAT-focused program.

You will develop treatment plans, document progress, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and holistic well-being in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or social work or related field; or CAC/CAS/CADC/CRC/LADC I/II/LICSW/LCSW/LMHC/LMFT credentials.
• Bachelor’s degree holders without credentials are encouraged to apply if they commit to obtaining required credentials within 30-60 days.
• For Bachelor’s-level candidates, the company provides reimbursement for licensing or certification exam fees.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient’s recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
