Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Yarmouth Comprehensive Treatment Center in MA is hiring a Full-Time Substance Use Counselor for an early-morning schedule (Mon-Fri 6AM-2PM). The role focuses on individual and group counseling, MAT-informed treatment, and documentation to support opioid use disorder recovery.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree (or BA with credentials) and have experience in addiction recovery, familiarity with CBT/MI, and a commitment to compliance with HIPAA and state standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related health field.
• If BA holder, must obtain required credentials within 60 days.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiar with MAT including methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI, relapse prevention and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate, and document recovery for patients.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Complete timely, clear documentation of care and incidents.
• Develop individual treatment plans and conduct assessments.
• Assess patient needs and referrals to other programs.
• Plan for aftercare and crisis intervention as needed.
• Provide case management and liaison with referral sources.
