Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Bowling Green, KY seeks an entry level RN in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1) to coordinate and deliver dialysis-related care for an assigned group of patients. Qualifications

• RN with valid state license and nursing degree from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Entry level with <2 years nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision and with team collaboration.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis and updates care plans.
• Educates patients and families on care needs and disease options.
• Delivers safe, effective hemodialysis care with direct/assistive staff.
• Administers medications per protocol and documents effectiveness.
• Initiates/emergency response measures and participates in staff training.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and timely results.
• Documents outcomes and coordinates with the interdisciplinary team.

Skills

Nephrology nursing (entry level)

Hemodialysis experience (preferred)

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current appropriate state licensure

CPR BLS Certification
