Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate nursing care for dialysis patients, collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and patient care technicians, and participate in quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

The role requires nursing graduates with state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and adherence to policy and practice standards.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current appropriate state licensure.
Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.

Responsibilities

Performs all essential functions under supervision and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or RN team.
Monitors and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis and documents in medical record.
Provides patient/family education on care plans and procedures.
Delivers safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy with care staff.
Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness.
Participates in emergency response measures and staff training.
Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and timely shipping.
Updates nursing assessment and plan of care in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.
Educates patients about transplant and treatment modality options.
