Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Goshen, IN is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1). This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, and quality improvement activities, with supervision by a nurse leader and Clinical Educator. Requires state RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
• Assesses, analyzes, and documents patient data during pre-, intra-, and post‑hemodialysis treatment and updates the care plan accordingly.
• Directs and provides safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Participates in education and orientation of staff and serves as a resource for the healthcare team.
