Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state RN licensure in good standing.
• CPR BLS certification required.
• Entry-level RN with 0–2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis and document in the EMR.
• Modify treatment plan based on data and notify supervisor or physician as needed.
• Educate patients and families about care, disease processes, and treatment options.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the care team.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved protocols.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Assist with staff training and orientation as assigned.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing, and timely scheduling of tests.
• Document nursing assessments and update the plan of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Travel to training sites or other facilities if required.
