Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 2 to join the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. This role may be entry level into the Clinical Advancement Program or advanced from RN CAP 1, focusing on clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned patient group.

As part of the health care team, you will supervise and collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, participate in quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Entry-level RN with minimum of 2 years nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient data collection and documentation during dialysis and adjusts care as needed.
• Collaborates with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians to deliver safe hemodialysis.
• Provides patient/family education on treatment options and care plan.
• Acts as a leader and mentor to new staff; participates in quality improvement.
• Administers medications per protocol and prepares for emergencies.
