Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Professional Registered Nurse for Outpatient RN CAP 2 within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. The role focuses on delivering clinically competent care, assessing patients, planning interventions, and coordinating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians to ensure safe hemodialysis therapy.

Responsibilities include data collection, education of patients and families, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and potential preceptorship of new staff.

Qualifications

• RN with 2+ years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Monitor and document patient data during hemodialysis; adjust treatment plan as needed.
• Provide patient/family education on treatment modalities and transplant options.
• Supervise and mentor other patient care staff as a team leader.
• Ensure all lab collections and processing are performed correctly.
