Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a professional Registered Nurse (Outpatient RN CAP 2) to advance through the Clinical Advancement Program. The role covers assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group, with delegation to care staff as needed.

You will participate in education, quality improvement, and teamwork to enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations. Entry through CAP 2 requires RN licensure and CAP progression goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
• Performs ongoing data collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and documents in the patient medical record; adjusts the plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families about care needs.
• Directs and provides safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with staff.
• Serves as a resource and mentor to new employees and supports CAP requirements.
