Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an RN CAP 2 to join the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. The role focuses on assessment, planning, and delivery of hemodialysis care with collaboration across RNs, LVN/LPNs, and patient care technicians.

The nurse will lead education efforts, participate in quality improvement, and serve as a resource to new staff while advancing CAP requirements and delivering safe, effective treatment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or CPR BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned patient group.
• Document care and adjustments to treatment plan; notify physicians as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment options.
• Direct and supervise daily delivery of hemodialysis therapy.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Lead, mentor, and coach other staff.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing, and reporting.
