Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, and evaluation, and may delegate tasks to nursing staff.

You will work within the ESKD health care team, participate in decision making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure valid for the practicing location.
• CPR BLS certification current or in process.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision and guidance of the Supervisor and Clinical Educator.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis and documents in the medical record.
• Education: assesses learning needs of patients and families and provides ongoing education.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the care team.
• Administers prescribed meds and follows approved algorithms.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Serves as a resource to the health care team and participates in staff training.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and scheduling; documents plan of care updates.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current appropriate state licensure

Current or successful CPR BLS Certification
