Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Saint Peters, MO seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). The RN will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for hemodialysis patients, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.

As part of the ESRD health care team, you will participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities, with a path to CAP advancement after completing required prerequisites.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing.
• Minimum 9 months RN experience.
• 3 months chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs care under supervision and guidance of Nursing leadership.
• Collects and analyzes patient data around hemodialysis treatment; adjusts plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families on care needs.
• Delivers safe, effective hemodialysis therapy in coordination with care team.
• Administers prescribed medications with documentation of justification and effectiveness.
