Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program in an outpatient dialysis setting. You will participate in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care for a defined group of nephrology patients.

The role requires a nursing degree, active licensure, CPR/BLS certification and at least 9 months RN experience with dialysis exposure preferred. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
• Performs ongoing data collection and analysis during hemodialysis, documents in the medical record, and adjusts the treatment plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families and collaborates with the care team to ensure safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and participates in emergency response measures.
• Supports staff training, orientation and ensures proper lab procedures are followed.
