Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Lansing, MI is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

The role requires collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, adherence to policies, and participation in quality improvement activities. CAP requirements to advance are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for assigned dialysis patients.
• Assess, document, and adjust nursing care based on patient data during dialysis.
• Educate patients and families on care needs and treatment options.
• Administer medications per prescribed protocols and document effectiveness.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and mentor staff as assigned.
