Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Michigan is seeking an entry level Outpatient Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This role focuses on assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating care for an assigned group of patients with end-stage kidney disease, under supervision.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and patient care technicians, document findings, participate in education, and support the nephrology team in delivering safe dialysis therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Must meet state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Document data collection and updates to the nursing assessment and plan of care.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and treatment options.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures as needed.
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team and mentor staff as assigned.
