Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program in Michigan. You will provide coordination of care, perform patient assessments, and participate in care planning within the End Stage Kidney Disease health care team.

As part of the CAP, you will engage in teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care outcomes. The role includes nursing responsibility for hemodialysis treatment and adherence to policy

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Document data collection and adjustments to treatment plan.
• Educate patient and family on learning needs and care plan.
• Direct and provide safe dialysis therapy with nursing staff collaboration.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
