Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Madison Heights, MI seeks an Outpatient Registered Nurse CAP 1 for the Clinical Advancement Program. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for an assigned patient group, with opportunities to mentor staff and contribute to quality improvement.

The role requires dialysis experience or recent RN practice in nephrology, current state licensure, and CPR/BLS certification. This is a full-time onsite position with daily patient care responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and documents in the patient medical record.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithm(s).
• Provides patient education to patients and family and collaborates with the care team.
• Directs daily delivery of safe and effective hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
