Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track in Oregon. This role provides and coordinates high-quality nursing care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for dialysis patients within the Clinical Advancement Program.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Techs, participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities, and ensure compliance with policies and state/federal regulations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential functions under supervision with guidance from Clinical Educator or RN leadership.
• Collect and analyze patient data during dialysis and document in medical records.
• Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and families.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and document outcomes.
• Initiate or assist with emergency responses as needed.
• Act as a resource and participate in staff training and orientation.
• Ensure proper laboratory collection, processing, and shipping; reschedule missed collections.
• Update nursing assessment and care plans with Interdisciplinary Team.
• Discuss transplant options with patients and families.
