Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an Outpatient RN CAP 2 to coordinate and provide clinically competent care for an assigned patient group within a dialysis setting. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care, delegating tasks to RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and patient care technicians as needed, while participating in quality improvement activities.

The role includes teaching patients, supporting team leaders, and aligning practice with policy and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level RN with minimum 2 years of Nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under the direction of supervision and with guidance from clinical educators or RN team members.
• Collects and analyzes patient data around hemodialysis treatment and documents in the medical record.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs and treatment options.
• Directs and provides safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy and collaborates with direct and ancillary staff.
