Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care's Outpatient RN CAP 1 role is an entry-level position into the Clinical Advancement Program, focusing on coordinating and delivering clinically competent care for dialysis patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation within an End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

Requires nursing degree from an accredited school, current state RN licensure, CPR/BLS, and progression through CAP with minimum experience expectations including 9

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure as a nurse.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Must meet practice requirements for the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis treatment and documents in medical records.
• Adjusts treatment plan as indicated and notifies supervisor or physician as needed.
• Education patients and families on care plans and treatment modalities.
• Delivers safe, effective hemodialysis in collaboration with the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Assists with emergency response measures and staff training.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and timely rescheduling of labs.
• Documents outcomes and updates nursing assessment and care plan with the interdisciplinary team.
• May travel to training sites or other facilities as required.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current state licensure
