Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse CAP 1 in outpatient care. The RN will collaborate with the ESKD health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during hemodialysis treatments.

This role supports education for patients and families and may involve delegation to PCTs and LVNs under supervision. The position emphasizes adherence to policy, ongoing documentation, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Assesses patient data and documents in the medical record; adjusts treatment plan as indicated.
• Educates patients and families; delivers safe, effective hemodialysis therapy.
• Administers medications as prescribed; participates in emergency response measures.
• Supervises and trains staff; ensures laboratory procedures and transplant discussions are addressed.
