Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Tennessee is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient CAP1 track within the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

The role includes education for patients and families, collaboration with the care team, administration of medications per protocol, and support for staff as a Team Leader or in charge capacity as you gain CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must have at least 9 months of RN experience and 3 months of chronic/acute hemodialysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and contribute to planning and evaluation of patient care during dialysis.
• Supervise and support Patient Care Technicians/LPNs/LVNs/RNs as Team Leader or designated Nurse in Charge.
• Administer medications per protocol and document results.
• Coordinate education for patients and families and ensure transplant/treatment modality options are discussed.
• Adhere to Fresenius Kidney Care policies and regulatory requirements.
