Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients in a dialysis setting.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, participate in teaching and quality improvement, and support a team focused on patient outcomes and facility operations.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in the relevant state.
• CPR/BLS certification current or in progress.
• Minimum 9 months RN experience required for supervision/leadership.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential functions under supervision of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator or Preceptor.
• Collect and analyze patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis; adjust care plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs and care.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administer medications per physician orders or approved algorithms.
