Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level RN for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care during dialysis, assess patients, plan and implement interventions, and participate in quality improvement activities with the care team.

This role requires nursing education, current RN licensure, and CPR/BLS certification. You will work with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians to deliver safe, effective hemodialysis and patient education.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing license and CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in nephrology or dialysis is preferred but this is an entry level CAP role.
• Strong patient assessment and education skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate with the health care team and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection and analysis of patient status during dialysis.
• Document in the medical record and adjust care plan as needed.
• Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and families.
• Coordinate safe delivery of dialysis therapy with care staff.
• Administer medications as prescribed per protocol and document actions.
• Participate in emergency response measures when needed.
• Assist with specimen collection and ensure proper handling of labs.
